Studio Final: Site Analysis

This is the site graphic superimposed onto Copley Square. The blue shows views from the site to the square. These views are of park activities, trees, green spaces, water features and significant architectural examples around the square. The red depicts pedestrian views of the building from adjacent areas. While the red does not depict all views of the building site, they are the most direct and immediately adjacent, intimate views. The yellow portrays the vehicular views which are more dominant along Dartmouth Street to the north. Boylston Street is more of a major artery but the building exposure along this street is significantly less than Dartmouth. As evident in this image, the shadow cast by the Hancock Tower could impact the site during the winter months.


I took the foam core model and embellished with green to show the relationship between the adjacent square, the vertical park and the technology store. The green glass is for illustration purposes only to reinforce the location of the vertical park to other amenities discussed.This is a different view showing the main vehicular view of the building in context with the adjacent buildings and Copley Square.
